Need some help! I just purchased a 1962 Allis Chalmers D15 with front end and back hoe($1200...a restoration type of project). The tractor runs o.k. and the front end hydrolics seem to work correctly. However, the back hoe and outriggers dont respond to any of the input levers. I have no experience with hydrolics and could use some guidance. Thanks for any input that you can provide.

Chris;

Is that the one that was on the Maple Valley Hiway?

I will also say that this is a gas tractor and that I'm estimating it to be around 1962. I can see the D15 on the decal and the only model number I see is TS-500, but I think this refers to the backhoe and front end loader attachment not the tractoe itself. I've searched the net and have not found anything that is that helpful. Thanks for amy help that you can provide.

First off does it have a PTO pump? If yes try engageing the PTO. If not it could be set up like my backhoe, it have a selector valve, one way you have the loader powered and the other way you have the back hoe.

I dont know if it has a pto pump. It appears that there is a metal plate over where the pto is usually located. I dont see any lever that would engage it if there were one behind the plate. Its not like my ford. I dont know if its configured differently because it has the mark iv backhoe on it??? I also dont see any obvious selector vales. I tried following all the hoses and looked under and around for levers and the only thing i came up with so far was a lever under the gas tank on top of the tranny that can be pushed forward and backwards. Dont see that it has any effect on anything yet.
