On my '49 H that I inhereted from my Grandfather, never painted until I restored it about 10 years ago there was a decal on the battery box that said something about not running the engine with the battery disconnected because the generator would be damaged. I think it also said which generator wire to disconnect in case you did have to run it that way. Never did find a replacement decal for that or the one on top of the glass pre- cleaner jar assembly. If anybody has a source for those I'd appreciate knowing about them. Good luck with your Farmall.

In Guy Fay's Letter Series book, the only decal in the decal placement section that I find is a patent decal on the rear of the under seat battery box,of, I think, the Super H. On page 82 of the same book is a picture of the rear of a Super H, which shows what I think is the "pull only from draw bar, etc" decal on the rear of the battery box. Underneath is a large caution decal that has a number of warnings on it. This decal in particular looks like overkill. I do not know if these two are in the right place. Personally, I don't like a whole lot of decals on the tractor, particularly large ones (other than the "Farmall" one, of course) as I think it detracts from the appearance. Only my opinion.
