I am 13 years old and i have an old 5 hp briggs engine from a sears tiller. I am planning to use it in a go cart. what is the first thing i should do if i wanna get the most out of it for a lower price? thanx for n e help

The best thing you can do for it is to clean it up good, making sure that the cooling fins are not clogged with dirt and trash, and then change the oil in it and replace the air filter. Be sure to use the governor hook up on it to keep the engine from flying apart. If you do not use the governor the engine will not last long. It will run fast for a little while then it will fly apart. have fun! Gene Davis
