What should the Compression be on this model. I have 80lbs on one cylinder and 90lbs on the other. This motor runs but dies when I put it in gear. I have cleaned the carb, replace filter and gas lines. Spark seams to be weak on both cylinders. One plug is black and the other is clean. Suggestions?

The differences in compression may indicate a problem with the one cylinder, and explain the dirty plug, but it still shouldn't kill when put in gear. It is possible you have a safety switch problem. Find the wire that leaves the engine, and leads to the safety switches and key switch. TEMPORARILY disconnect this wire, and see if the problem remains. (BE CAREFULL!... the engine will not shut off with the key, nor will the safety switches function with this wire disonnected!)
