I am trying to locate a service manual for the Bolens 1886 Model hydrostat unit. I need to remove the left side axle shaft for repair. Can anyone assist?

Have you checked out the Sonny's Bolens site?

He has a lot of PARTS manuals on-line, and perhaps that would give you enough info?

Is yours the early model (Eaton hydro), or the late model (Sundstrand hydro)?

Your tractor is PROBABLY covered by one of the Yard and Garden Tractor Service Manuals, published by Intertech.
