I have an old bucket truck with a fiberglass bucket. Due to weathering and wear, the surface is no longer sealed and I end up itching from rubbing against it.
Could a fiberglass expert give me some tips on a product and proceedure to seal the surface?
Help will be appreciated.

If your auto parts store doesn"t have resin, check with a marine supply store. West Marine is one of the more popular chains. (www.westmarine.com if there are none in your town.) You need 105 resin and 205 hardner. (if you buy West System). One thing to keep in mine is that there are 2 types of resin. Epoxy and Polyester. Epoxy resin will stick to anything but polyester resin will not stick to epoxy. So just to play it safe, shop for epoxy resin. If your bucket were epoxy, and you applied polyester, it may eventually flake off. If you wanted to really seal it, apply a coat of resin, layer of fiberglass cloth, followed by another layer of resin. Wet it out so that cloth turns clear. Use disposable bristle brush and plastic spreader.

Give it a coat of fiberglass resin top coat. Will make it like new again.Any good auto parts store should have it.Use a cheap bristle throw away brush too.
