I just purchased a 56 naa. I have a few manuals but they dont have what I need.did they origanaly have a foot throttle? adjusting the governer? left brake not working very well?adjustment?I am confused about battery positive to ground? previous owner put in a 8 volt battery is that good or bad will it blow out the 6 volt lights? there is no lights at this time.Lots more ? coming Thanks

Hey Bubba,
From what I was told an 8 volt battery is what you want. It works fine with a 6 volt system and give it extra cranking power on the cold days. That is what I have on my '58 Ford Powermaster and it woks great.

Man you got a one of a kind.The NAA was made in only 2 years that I know of 1953&1954.Actually they were released in the fall of 1952 starting with serial #1 1953 serial numbers started at 2380 and 1954 serial numbers started with # 77475
