Had trouble with tractor accelerating with the variator in the forward position. If I pulled BACK on the clutch/brake pedal the variator would drop back and the tractor sped up,but the C/B pedal is way higher than the 7 to 8 inch maximum distance allowed to the footrest. Then when the pedal is pressed to slow down, the variator drops back down into slow speed. Checked into adjusting the clutch override, and noticed the eyehook that attaches to the variator arm is bent. Is this my problem or is this a effect of a bigger problem? Thanks ahead!

Check the variator for excessive wear, be sure there are genuine Deere belts under there (and that they're the correct part number), straighten the bent linkage, and then set up the variator according the procedure in the manual.
