What chemical is used to clean the hoses and
orfices on the old steam jennys? They are showing
some clogging and crud. Thanks for info.

CHARLES ,The best thing I found to use that works the best is Miractic acid , this works good and is very cheap like $2.00 a gallon. I always buy it ar my truevalue hardware store. I am not sure of the proper spelling of the acid word but I spelled it the way it sounds

charles, a long time ago our store sold steam jenny cleaners. they are still in business. we bought ours from a place called "gamco" in chicago. if i remember right, what you need is called "number 80 coil conditioner". 1070 guy

Best idea is to use one of their coil descaler and cleaner solutions.

I would try vinegar first, if no luck then a stronger acid -- but would be best to call the company and find what they recommend. They are still in business. It is possible that some of the stuff for flushing radiators might work as it is probably mostly lime deposits.
