I recently purchased a circa 1950 pull-behind plow that has been stored inside all of its life when not in-use. It has some great original paint and painted-on (stencilled) part numbers in several places. I have absolutely NO intention of stripping this item down and repainting it, as I feel the original paint is so much more desireable. I would, however, like to clean the age, dirt and dullness off of the paint. I am wondering if a mile soap and water, gently washed onto the original paint will do it any harm. I do not want to damage or wash the paint off in any way. Or, is there some other method anyone would recommend? Thanks.
