I am restoring a MF TO-35 with a Perkins diesel and I would like some opinions. Should I remove the manifold so I can paint the block better or just paint it the best I can and not worry with removing the manifold? I do not need to do anything other than paint. I have not tried to remove the manifold for fear of breaking the bolts. Should I just paint the manifold also and let the paint just burn off? Thanks

Obviously you've never taken a manifold off an older motor, or you wouldn't ask the question. If you do, you'll surprise yourself at the unusual vocabulary you hear your self speak, specially when you twist off some of those studs!

I just spray the entire engine with tractor paint. It will burn off the manifold. If you wan the manifold painted to to "Eastwood" and buy cast iron or stainless colored manifold paint. You paint it with a brush.
