how to adjust clutch on 1954 ford jubilee

i am wondering how to get the clutch adjusted on our 1954 ford jubilee. the clutch is not disengaging the transmission so tractor is staying in gear with the tractor off we can get it into neutral but when tractor is on cannot get it into or out off gear any help is appriciated as i cant find my manuals thank you ed eckles

When a clutch wears, it gets to the point where there is no free travel, and it will begin to slip, but it will still release fully. That sounds like the opposite of your problem. It sounds like you have a stuck clutch.

Your clutch plate may be rusted or gummed to the flywheel, and failing to release, or your throwout bearing or clutch fongers may be bad, so the clutch is not being released.
