I have this old Case 310B Loader/Backhoe that I pulled the Backhoe off and adapted a 3 point hitch to that works real well. I put a new radiator, head, and valves on and replaced one of the lift cylinders. It has a bent steering tie rod, looks like someone hung it up on something. The front wheels don't quite go on the same direction. I've been trying to figure a way to straighten the tie rod, it's a tube so I can't just whack on it. Do any of you clever folks have an idea on how to straighten this thing. Thanks for you help.

It would be best if you take the tie rod off, then put it on a couple of 4X4 blocks, one at each end and apply force at the middle or the "peak" of the bent portion. I've had pretty good luck using a 2X4 about 4 feet long, lay one end of it on the bent rod, stand on the other end and swat the part that's over the rod just below where it intersects the rod with an 8 lb. sledge. Go easy at first and increase effort till the rod gives, it may flip over, but keep trying, you'll get it just right and the rod will give eventually. Good Luck, have patience, you'll get it.

Cut out the bent part ,slip a new piece of tubing /pipe over the ends and weld it up.
