I need a new set of rear tires for my 48 B and found a company that sells Titan "blem's" for $140 each. That is a very good price and they say they are guaranted for a year. Any thoughts?

Drew,
I've talked with a guy in Nebraska that buys those Titan tires. He told me that the only problems he has or sees with them is the tread angle isn't exactly like the original tires that were used on most tractors. I know where there is an old "B" Farmall that I am going to try to acquire. Would you care to share location and contact number for your supplier? It might be a while before I get the opportunity, but would be interested in them. My email is open.

Jim

There have been some some quality issues with Titan tires over the years but I am pretty sure these problems always showed up when the tire was being used under extreme use. Mostly involves drive tires on combines which wear out early due to driving on the crop stubble. Also have heard several stories about premature tire failure on those big grain carts. I don't think either of these can be related to how you will be using the tires so I doubt you will experience any problems. I have a set of Titans on the front of an H Farmall and they have been very good. I also have seen quite a few Titan tires on the rear of tractors at many shows. Since the tires you are looking at are "blems", I would look them over pretty good, but with a one year warranty, you can't go too wrong.
