I recently remodeled a 1953 Super H International Harvester, but cannot get it to start or even sputter. Before I disassembled it it ran fine. There is spark on all 4 plugs and the wires are in the correct order. I'm getting fuel to all 4 cylinders too! My comman sense tells me it is a timing problem, but have tried several different ajustments and cannot even get the engine to sputter. Is there annyone out there that can help.

Regards

With #1 at TDC, point the rotor to #1 on the distributer cap, and with the timing mark on the crank pulley in line with the pointer, install the distributer, turn on ignition and see if ammeter shows discharge, if not rotate the distributer about 30 degrees CC-points will be closed. Pull the coil wire out of the dist cap and rotate dist clockwise until you get a spark. Don't know how much disassembly you did on the engine, but the cam marks also have to be lined up.
