Hello, I have rebuilt a motor for a friend of mine that was in his Ford Tractor. The model on the tractor is a Ford 2000 LCG, and I have done my best to figure out what year it is buy the numbers on the housing and I believe it to be a late 1963 model 2000 LCG. However I am having a problem in trying to time the tractor, I am in need of the firing order and every where I look, I am told or read that a ford 2000- LCG or Standard, is supposed to be a three cylinder gas engine. However the engine I rebuilt is a four cylinder. Can anyone please help me to understand why I am coming up with this discrepency??? And the firing order would be great too. Also NO 1 Cylinder is the front or rear cylinder as a rule of thumb on these Ford Engines? Thanks in advance for any and all help in this matter. Travis

The info you are finding is for a 1965 or later Ford 2000 which are 3 cylinder tractors. You need info on a 1963/1964 Ford 2000 with a 134 cu. in. gas engine. Essentially the same as a 1955/1962 601 series tractor engine. Firing order is 1-4-3-2 front to back.
