Are you replacing it because you want to, or because it's broken beyond repair? If it is beyond repair, and you want to keep it original, those engines come up quite often on ebay.

If you want to jazz it up a bit with more horsepower, I suppose there's quite a variety of modern OHV engines that can be shoehorned in there with a little work!

Caution, though, if you modify it with another engine, you will be destroying the collector value of a tractor that is becoming a classic!

I bought my 110 new in 1967. Its a "work horse" and I use it every week (cut grass, plow snow), and I keep it well maintained.
I replaced the engine once and it is about time to do it again as it is using oil and the compression is down. It starts immediately and runs fine except for the oil & compression problems. I could probably get it rebuilt but I would like to treat it to a new engine if I can find one. Other than general maintenance items, everything is original except for the replaced engine.

Have it rebored, and grind the crank, if necessary. Replace the valves and guides, and you'll essentially have a new engine.
