Hi,

I replaced a blown hydraulic line. the bobcat runs fine now, except when using any hydraulic controls there is a groaning sound. the dealer said that the system is self-bleeding and by idling the engine this would bleed the lines and stop the noise.
so far, this hasn't improved. it's a model 533.
1. should i idle the motor for longer?
2. is it ok to run the machine even though the noise is still there?
3. words of advice/encouragement?

Just like the last post said. You have to run through each cyliders range to clear out the air.

If you idle the engine and exercise the cylinders through their complete range, it should bleed the lines. Simply idling the engine only runs the pump.
