International 3414 Governor

My grandpa has an old 3414 international bachoe and wants to know if there are any diagrams available to rebuild the governor. It doesn't work right and he is trying to put it back together, but isn't sure how it goes.

Hi Adam,

For futher refference when you ask about a not so popular model it helps if we know if you have a gas or diesel engine. Also posting this question on the IH/Farmall forum would probably yield more answers.

The IH-3414 came with either the BC144 (gas) or BD144 (diesel) engine. Adjustments will not be the same.

Both engines were also used in the IH-414 tractor so you can purchase a owners manual or engine manual that would list the parts of the governor as well tell him how to make all the adjustments.

If it's the BD144 engine then that engine is also used in the IH-444 tractor.

YtMag sells original copies of the IH manuals that are very good manuals for a reasonable price.
