I have a 1972 English Ford model 3000. When it gets cold the lift does not work. I have replaced the filter and when it gets warm it will lift a little. Can anyone tell me what may be wrong and how to fix it?

Make sure you are using the right fluid in the rear end. Should be Ford 134 and I think it holds 23.5 quarts. Drain the fluid with the arms down. Then fill it to the check hole, crank the engine and raise the arms all the up and add whatever amount is then needed. Prime the pump if you haven't already. Good luck. mine gave me fits until I realized I was running it low on fluid and using the wrong kind.
