Greetings Gentelmen:

I have a question about a 10-20 McCormick Deering tractor we are restoring.

#1 Where on the engine can you find the what class of tractor it is and when it was built?

#2 We have a problem with the transission. We can shift the gears into 3rd, 2nd, and 1st however when we shift back into neutral the tractor continues in 2nd(or whatever the gear you were in)

Also, when we put the gear into reverse the tractor does not move at all and the engine will stall.

If theres anyone out there who has a 10-20 MC you help will be very helpfull.

I Thank you for your time

Regards :)

Please post this message in the Farmall IH section, more people there will be able to help you. I think the serial number is located on the fuel tank support. There is a serial number site here on this web site. Rice Equipment in PA usa sells new parts for these machines. Nebraska Cowman deals in used parts for these machines and is a regular on the farmall section of this site. Sounds like you need to open up the transmission and look around on that one. Binder books/this site have manual for the 10/20's

I have my grandfathers 1928 10/20

GOOD LUCK
