I"ve got a 1941 John Deere H sittin in a woods that my dad bought in 1992 and drove it out there, parked it,covered it w/tarps and never drove it again. I"ve tried to buy it from him but he won"t sell. I want to do what ever I can to keep it restorable so can anybody give me some advice? I really want to go take it away from him and get it restored but don"t want a family war to start. My 1950 JD B would yank it out of there quite nicely!

Pull the plugs and fill the cylinders with oil, also fill any and all of the places oil goes as full as you can. Also make sure the drain on the carb is open a little to keep the carb from brakeing if it hasn't already. If it has tires on jack it up so they are off the ground and make sure the tarp covers the tires etc.
