Just picked up a 1955 model TO35 Ferguson. The old girl was running until a bolt broke in the exhaust manifold and burned through the fuel line. She had a small fire that burned two generator wires but did no other damage. The owner got frustrated and sat her out in the yard for a year before he gave her to me. Consequently, the tires are dry rotted beyond salvage, the paint is faded, and there are mouse nests everywhere. I have blown the old girl apart and plan to do some minor mechanicals and some cosmetic touch-up before pressing her into service as a mowing tractor. I want to get the generator and starter rebuilt. (Any suggestions for where to take these?) I will take the radiator and gas tank to the local radiator shop for a good boil and pressure test. I am taking the tin work to the local media blaster and then I will spray some primer and paint to the old tin. I do not plan to bondo anything but I will try to hammer out some dents if I can. I need a complete set of tires for the old girl. I plan to go to Tractor supply unless somebody has a better idea. I need a running or footboard for the left side. It is missing. Any suggestions where I can get salvaged parts for the TO 35? I plan to replace all six wires on the old girl and we should be in good shape. A final tune-up and everything should work for a few years without too much headache. I posted this lengthy note in the hope that somebody out there has been this route and can offer some suggestions or direction. I want to spend a little time and go through the old girl, but I am not intersted in seeing how much money I can throw at her either. I would appreciate any thoughts or direction.

A friend of mine restored his TO35 last year from the ground up. Has about $4000.00 in it. Looks better then it did brand new. The best advice I could give you is to install electronic ignition. You can purchase it on this web site. My friend said it helped a bunch. Good tractor, you should have alot of fun with her.
