Looking to find Massey-ferguson person that knows the 2244 crawler tractor. Tractor engine runs good but hydraulic reverser transmission runs well when cold but tends to stop when gets warmed up. Transmission leaks a lot and has to be topped off. Does anyone know what trans fluid to use. The passed owners used dextron 111 but I think the 5 weight fluid is not heavy enough. Only person to venture a guess was a service worker that said it used a GL4 10w-20 fluid. The old manual says use Massey-Ferguson M-1110 but can't find out what weight that is. The backhoe might be a Massey-Ferguson but cannot find Model number or serial number. Does anyone have a picture from a manual for a Model 52 Massey-Ferguson universal backhoe. There is a manual listed but I am not sure this is the same model. Thanks for any help or reference to go to as I am looking forward to running this tractor.

HI I am not sure but I tank your transmission pump need to be check and for oil the m.1110 should be the best and I have some use 2244 parts. HECTOR

Thanks for the info Hector. Did find a conversion for the M-1110 and it is a 10w-20 tractor tranmission hydraulic fluid and I can get it about 50 miles from where I live in New Mexico. What kinf of parts do you have for the 2244 I might be interested. Do you have a front loader or a blade and is there a backhoe. Thanks again. Craig

HI I had crawler loader 2244 but all hydrolique,starter,ead,top roller are sold and I have all they others parts.HECTOR

Hello Hector. On the parts do you have the reverser engine(the forward reverse shuttle on the upper left hand side of the control panel for the gear shift. What loader did you have and do you still have it. Can we get a picture of what you do have left and where is it. As I try to recondition this one I might need some parts. Did you have any back attachments on it. Are the old hydraulic parts all gone. Can you help me with information with the backhoe I have or do you know where I can go to get help. The detachable backhoe it has is very big for the 2244.

HI I am sorry all the dash with rod are gone scrap,the parts am still have are stering cluch,final drive transmission,idler,srocket,fuel pump,crankshaft,chaine and rollers and all hydrolique is sold.HECTOR
