Does anyone know where I can find new machine screws like what is used to assemble the carburetors of farmall Hs and also on the Marvel Schebler tsx series? The diameter and threads per inch is not a problem, just can't find the proper type of slotted head. I tried the Fastenal site, but all they give is a description, and I don't know what that style of head is called.

Hi Rusty,

If those are like the ones used on Zenith carbs, they are called fillister head. If that is what you are looking for, Fastenal has 'em and I suspect others, like McMaster, etc do also.

I guess I am still looking, I found the fillister head machine screws, but after looking at the fastenal site, as well as McMaster-Carr, they don't have what I need. The screws I need are 24 threads per inch, the only thing I can find is 18 threads per inch.

Rusty,

Are you looking in the right place at Fastenal? What size are you talking about? A 10-24 fillister head machine screw would be a common size, I think, for carburetor bodies. Fastenal has those in many different lengths. See here. Scroll down on the left side of that page.

Big ones :o). Fastenal has them in stainless and 9/16" long if that would do it for you. Pricey, but that's a possibility if you need that head style in that large a size. See here. I am assuming you want slotted drive and not phillips. I don't see any in phillips at Fastenal.
