im pretty new to this stuff but its seems that you guys have a very informational page here and i appracate all the help i can get. my uncle came to me last fall askin me o get his tractor running again. i dont know muck about these things but they cant be that hard. all i know is that it is a massey, i dont know if its a harris or fergason, i dont know the year but im in the process of looking up the serial numbers, but what i would like to know is, how hard is it to convert them to 12 volt and to get them to run again? he was plowing snow about 3 years ago , and it died, it never started again, it made no sounds nuthing which make me think its electrical, but i havent done anything with it yet any thaught about whats wrong would be appracated, thank you, jim

Well Unknown, What you have is a Fergie TO-30 which stands for T(ractor) O(verseas) - 30. This was probably made starting in the late 40's - early fifties and was discontinued when Massey-Harris-Ferguson Ltd became Massey-Ferguson Co. You'd be best off posting on the fergie (Ferguson) board.

well pulled some numbers hopefully someone can help. it looks to be a 1955 TO-35 from the pictures ive looked at, there is a plate by the steering wheel says, harry ferguson ser. no. TO-4340 there is also a plate riveted to the left side of the block , says, continentel engine corp, 104139. A10X is stamped into the left side of the block in the lower skirt. TO-4024 on the granny box. TO-7006 on trans, TO-4012on right axle tube and TO-4013 on left axle tube. any help would be greatly appricated , i need to get it running soon . thank you ( pics to come soon )
