I just converted to 12 Volt. Tractor was running well before conversion. Now - starts right up - runs for 15 to 30 seconds and dies and won't restart for a while. I thought perhaps I had painted over the vent on the gas tank, but with the gas cap loose it still cuts off. I opened up the gas cut off the whole way and yesterday it ran for 10 minutes. Today it's back to quiting in 15 to 30 seconds. Any ideas? Thanks!

First I'd check to make sure you are getting gas by pulling the carb drain. You should have a good flow of gas out of the drain. If you do then I guess you have a problem with wireing. I'd try a hot wire to the coil. If it runs that way your problem is from the coil back to the battery. If it doesn't then you problem is in the dist./Coil forward

sounds like the coil is overheating or bad. the coil should be 12 volts to. did you replace it.
