john deere popping

I have problem with John Deere 620 2 cyl. popping out of the exhaust at mid to high rpm. I have replaced all seals in carb, but am unsure exactly how to adjust it correctly. I see two thumb screws for the needles and one screw at the bottom of the carb bowl. Is there a high and low speed adjustment? Also could bad points cause popping? I hope it isn't a burned valve!
I have retightened all bolts since running the engine. I don't guess it would be a vacuum leak. It doesn't pop at very low idle, but when it does pop at higher rpm you can see what appears to be raw fuel blow out of the exhaust. The idle speed is also loping up and down. Vacuum leak?
Thanks for any and all help.

Your 620 should have a duplex carb on it. It is alot different then the one for a -B-. It is called a duplex because it has a devoted chamber for each cylinder. That is why the numbered series was such a vast improvment over the earlier two cylinders. Do you think you might be a little out of time? That would be my guess. On your carb it should say load and itle on the carb.

I don't know that tractor well but if the carb is any thing like the one on my B then one should be idle and one should be the laod or main jet. The popping your getting could be a load jet set to rich. If it was back fireing then it would be to lean. On the B the load jet is the one on the left as your sitting on the seat. Maybe be the same on yours, but I'm only takeing a guess.
