What type of sandblaster is best suited to sandblasting a tractor with the sheetmetal and everything. Siphon or pressurized?

Thanks

Dollar,

A pressure blaster is far superior at removing paint and rust.

I do agree, sandblasting a complete tractor is asking for trouble. People do it all the time and most of them get sand in the engine, rear end, transmission, steering, etc. Some actually prep them correctly and don"t have that problem, from what I"ve seen, they are the minority.

A pressure blaster with a 100# hopper is a great tool and will use less air than a siphon unit. Air quantity needed is going to be in the 15 to 25 cfm range to really work. You will need to get a blasting helmet, water separator, a really good particle mask, thick leather gloves and thick clothes to wear. Sand dust in your lungs can cause silicosis (bad - very bad).

Sorry when I said complete tractor. I was just trying to say that I was going to use the blaster on cast parts and also some sheetmetal after taking them off the tractor. Not just cast parts or sheetmetal exclusively. But thanks for the tips.

None, a complete tractor should NEVER be sandblasted unless you are going to completely disassemble it when you are done.
