Hi All, I"m looking for any help or comments you can give. I either through a rod or spun a bearing. It started knocking vilently before I shut it down. What I"d like to know is any ideas on where to buy parts, short block, used motor, etc. I"d also like your thoughts on rebuilding this motor.

Is this a T444E engine? I had seen some failures where the Injector tips cracked and broke off in one cylinder causeing a very severe knock..
will be lots of smoke if it did that!
I just replace the injector and it was OK!
you definatly want to rule that out!

Alliance Parts available through frieghtliner and Sterling truck dealers have them.
International truck dealers list the same Engines.

Why not pull the pan, and take a look at what really came apart, and post back???

I have a 424, and parts availabilty through CNH is pretty good. Mahindra, in India, continues to manufacture a version of that tractor, and parts I've got from the CNH dealer are mfd. in India, and painted an odd primer color, and packed in CNH boxes.

I hope parts availability is as good for the 444.
