I have 53 cub. The other morning I went out to plow and couldn't depress the clutch.
After removing the hand plate and inspecting
I managed to get the pedal loose. The clutch however does not work. I had no prior problem ,greased the fitting on the clutch and kept my free play adjusted. Any ideas? Thanks

Clutch disc. maybe rusted to the flywheel or a bad trow out bearing or both. Sort of a common problem with the trow out bearing on a cub since its not a very good set up. Replaced one the summer before last. If you have the right toos and all its only a couple hour job and at least the engine isn't all that heavy.

Biggest problem with tring to fix one thing is you end up finding 2 other things that need fixed that you didn't know needed TLC. BTDT more then once
