Any ideas on how to remove the thing without removing the entire fuel tank?

Many thanks,

You can drain the gas out and just unscrew it. Had mine out of my 620. They are the same set-up. good luck.

Tom,

Thanks.

I found out my sediment bowl/valve is/was what JD called the automatic shut off valve and fuel filter. It has a 90degree elbow and from the elbow to the end of the thing, measured about 4". I asked a 2cyl mech at the dealership if there was an easy way to remove it, he said the only way was to remove the tank..... . Oh joy.

Did it, remade the automatic fuel shut off & filter.

Anybody else doing this, I'd recommend marking the body of the thing so you'll be sure to reassemble it the way it came apart. And, another helpful hint, the top screw knob is not attached to the bottom shut-off plunger as it appears it should be.

Again, thanks for your reply
