Rye---flip over to the 9N,8N,2N discussion board and look in the archives. Recent discussion of your problem. Do you turn off the gas valve on your sediment bowl when you turn your tractor off and let it sit for any period of time? If you dont, the gas, being gravity fed from the tank to the carb can "backup" and get into your oil pan---being a new N owner, I did not believe this even possible, but am learning more each day----Good Luck with this one!!

Safely drain and properly dispose of the engine oil that is severely thinned out by the gas that leaked into it when the carburetor "ran over". Drain and clean the oil filter housing, and replace the oil filter.

Refill it with oil, and repair the carburetor as needed.

This may have been a one-time thing, or the carb may need attention.

Then, after every use, make sure to shut off the gasoline supply at the tank to prevent this from happening again.

Carburetor float is not shutting off or some thing is out of whack, and gas is going into crankcase. VERY BAD NEWS!!!
