For all the on-topic forums, you can now edit your post using the modern view. The post remains editable for 30 minutes after the initial post so you can correct typos and misstatements.
Regardless of whether it was posted initially on modern or classic, if you need to make a change, click the Modern View link, then click login and do so. Go to the forum and thread involved and you will find the edit button. After 30 minutes it will tell you the time has expired for editing.
If after that period expires you need to make an important change, contact us as you would have in the past.
Please report any problems you run into.

Thanks,

Chris

Yep, I forgot a couple. Todays Tractors and Yesterdays Trucks are still uneditable. I'll have to test them out first but should get that tomorrow!

Thanks for reminding me.

I embeded it wrong...I use a program to do it. I use HTML on some boards and BB code on others...I had no choice. Seems you can not edit in this form...The button is missing..

You just reminded me. I didn't enable it on site comments. Anything below the on-topic forums I skipped except for the Test Forum which has always been enabled. It was just an oversight. There may be others.

Thanks

Glad you mentioned that (PM). It is or at least close to next. We are getting the circuits consolidated to speed all the sites up. That's taking time but the PM is something we wanted to get going pretty fast. The big hurdle there is just making it so classic users (the majority) can easily receive them. Most of the community has never logged into Modern View so we have to bring the PM to classic.

Not sure why the edit didn't work on the picture but maybe it's because the even if you put the embedded image in on classic one way, you still have to use the img bbcode to fix it over on Modern. That's something I sorta forgot!

Thanks,

Chris

Chris,
I used your new edit feature. Worked very well, Why does it last only 30 minutes? I know you have a reason just wondering.
Thanks,Jim

I think forum software limits changes because people will make a comment, get a response and then change or eliminate what they said in the first place making the thread useless. I'm just guessing though, I don't actually know all the reasons but that sounds likely.
The way the software worked by default, the minute a post was replied to, you couldn't edit it. I figured that would mean you'd never get a chance to edit on the busy boards.
Thanks for trying it out,

Chris
