I have a Fuller & Johnson type N 1 1/2hp with a sumter mag. I have removed the mag to be rebuilt and marked the timing. After removing the gear there are several holes that the gear can be indexed into. There is also a thin plate with pointers that fits behind the gear (mag side) The problem I have is knowing what hole is used for proper timing. Thanks in advance, Casenut

On end of the gear collar there will be a stamped hash mark. On face of gear there will be a scribed line. Line up the mark with that on end of collar, one hole will line up with pin in gear. That"s the correct position.

Hi Nick, Thank you very much for your info. I am enjoying your website. I have always been a Fuller and Johnson lover. I will be putting my engine in your registration soon.
