If you have only one cooling fin or vane as you refer to it broken off, you can break the one directly opposaite it off and continue to run the flywheel as it will be pretty well balanced like this.

You have to unscrew the nut 2 or 3 turns just for the nut to arrive at the cranshaft end of pitch. The best is to have another person to help.
One holds the flywheel with the two hands and the other hit with a special hammer (copper soft hammper, I don't know the name in English) on the nut so that the cranskahsft stud is not damaged. Flwyheel should come out

also found a vane busted off we will be looking for a good used flywheel for it it has electric start and has flywheel alternator Thanks Jason Viking62@tennesseetel.net
