Here is a picture(I have others) to help idenify. I have found some pictures on the net of these 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 HP LAA engines, but not one in this congfiguation. It has a reduction gear mechanisum on it. Serial No. LAA64461. Does anyone know what this engine was used for? And date of production. I saved it from the scrap metal dealer. Turns over about half way. Did not want to forse it to turn any further. Thanks a lot for any info.

The two wheels on the back of engine with mounts sticking out are for attaching lift arms made of wood Ibelieve and attach to a sucker rod to pump the water.I have two LB engines, one mounted on a homebuilt show tractor the other runs a small oil field type pumpjack for shows.I might be intrested in your engine.Could you give me your location.

Hi there. WOW! Since I posted the picture, I have gotten a lot of response on this engine. I am getting offers all over the country. I bought it to save it from the scrap yard. Looks like I did the right thing. We are located in north central Texas, approx. 55 miles NE of Dallas. Email me for my phone numbers if you wish. I have other pictures of the engine also.

Is it a common configuration? Is anybody interested in it? I only bought it to save it from the scrap metal guys. My hobby is saving old tractors from the scrap guys. This is the first one of these I have run across. Can you tell from the serial number what year it was made?
