My Dad and I were cleaning up my Grandpa's shop and found this old engine (??). The only markings that I could find on it are on the flywheel that says "THE AU-TO" and then there's a number 6 or a 9. Anybody know what this is?

Thanks

This is NOT an engine. It is an antique air compressor. Some folks in the old iron hobby who are also machinists, who will take something like this and modify it to make it into an engine.
