I'm getting a plate compactor running after setting for about 20 yrs. I'm needing somekind of replacement fuel tank. I was wondering if there's a replacement poly tank made? I'm not picky here, if someone can think of a decent jury rig tank I would appreciate the help. Also need a carburator gasket. This is the orignial Bendix carb. Where would I get one of these? bjr

Last time I checked, you could buy a replacement oval tank (is that the one your AENL has?) from Wisconsin for $66. Later AENL's used a tank that was almost (but not quite) rectangular. You cheapest bet would be to get a bracket from one of those (or make one) & put a square tank off a Briggs or similar from the scrap yard.

The carb gaskets are available from Wisconsin or NAPA, etc. Just give them the numebers off the top of the carb (the long number, not the L63E or whatever).

Well I Made a gasket for the carb. and made engine run briefly. I am repairing old tank and also trying to epoxy a brass fitting on the bottom of a new small poly Blitz fuel container. Dunno if it'll work or not. I'm using some Permatex GTR-1 Gas Tank and Radiator repair. Anyone else have experience with this product? I busted the aluminum or pot metal rope start pulley and was able to make a replacement with a pressed steel 5" pulley from junk pile and a 7/8" fine thd. coupler nut. I fix one thing and break two others, it's not easy being me. bjr
