Does anyone have a copy of a F163- Continental oil pump diagram? Or how to remove it from the engine?

We just did a ring job on our old Lincoln welder with an F-163 and the pump came out with just a little gentle prying.

The book shows no other styles of pump mounts, so John's recommendation of a little tapping with a brass drift may be in order.

Good luck,
Scott

Huh? Did you remove the distributor and the drive shaft first? I can look in My Continental manual but I don't recall any special instructions.

I pulled the distriutor out & I took 1 nut off the the oil pump. The pump will move from side- to- side but will not drop down.

It has been 10 years since I worked on an F model Continental, but the last one was all stuck and we taped with a long brass drift through the distributor drive opening. Good Luck. J.
