I’ve purchased an IHC type M hit-n-miss, it’s a 1.5 horsepower unit with a 3.625” bore. I believe the engine has a 5” stroke, however I haven’t measured it yet.

Here’s my big problem – aside from some missing valve train components - when I pulled the head, there was no piston or connecting rod in the block! It looks like someone robbed parts off of this engine at some point, and left the hulk for yard art!

Anyway, I’ve got the ability to have a connecting rod and piston manufactured for this engine, however I have been unable to locate the factory specifications (rod length – center to center), piston wrist pin location, etc).

Or, does anyone have an old rod and piston I can purchase to use as a template?

Have you tried Hit and Miss and Starbolt for the parts?
