Hello,
I have a IH LA with a Wico AH magneto, and I can't seem to get the ignition timing right. Where is the timing mark in the magneto gear? So far I have found about 3 different marks. And I'm not sure which is right. It will spark either too late or too early. Also is the timing procedure different for a LB? Because my friend has a LB and his sparks before the DC mark gets to the timing mark on the side plate. And his runs great. I am just confused out of my mind! Please HELP!
Thanks,
Nick

Nick, I have a book for the LA with a Wico type H mag, not sure what the difference is, but it says you can tip the mag forwards or backwards to adjust the timing. It also says, "Never allow magneto impulse coupling to trip before dead center." I can send you a PDF file of the manual if you want.

Dan,
I think the manual your talking about is the one I have but you could just send me the PDF file of it just in case. Also does anyone know how to index the governor on a LA. Because I heard if you take the head and carb off you will have to index the governor in order to make it run. Is that true? Because I had taken the head off to change rings I also changed the governor gear. Just another tid bit.
Thanks,
Nick
