Gentleman:

I have an old hit & miss IHC Stationary Engine that I would love to get some help on identifying. I'd just like to know anything about it, if it's worth restoring, etc.

The plaque on the top of the engine reads as follows:

Mogul Engine
International-Harvester-Corp'N
Tractor-Works, Chicago, U.S.A.
Patents Pending
Gasoline-Motorspirts-Kerosene-Gas
Type (blank) No. CZ1459 Speed 500 H.P. 2 1/2

I can send some pictures if you'd like. I really appreciate your help in advance!

Hi Evan I dont think its worth restoring..... .I will get it to Australia and dispose of it for you to save you the hassle. If its original and on its transport you have a gem, I have a couple of different famous engines but would love a mogul. I know where one (6hp)is lying rotting and cannot be bought. Get it going and cleaned up, leave it natural and dont paint it, linseed oil and auto trans fluid mixed painted on looks a million dollars. Best of luck Graeme

Yes a Mogul is a very restorable engine. I would love to have one, but most are out of my price range. Go over to www.old-engine.com. Now there is a lot of info over there and Harry also sells a lot of books on these engines

I forgot to mention that this motor is sitting on it's original wheeled cart, I think.
