I came across a wisconsin single cyl. engine awhile back, its old, has 4 bolts that hold the cyl. jug onto the crank case, it has a 3 inch bore, has great compression, and will run, But its missing the cooling shroud. All I can find in the way of numbers is, B-A-45-H cast on the crank case, on the oil sump it says ottwa, made in ottwa kans. does anybody know the hp, the year, and where I might find an air shroud.

Are you sure it is a Wisconsin? I don't think isconsin ever had a jug bolted to the crankcase. It sounds like you have an ottwa.

Wisconsin DID make one-cylinder engines with the jug bolted to the crankcase.

Thanks for the reply, I pulled the bottom off, and inside the piston it says wisconsin.

Sounds like an AEH. Should have a casting that bolts to the jug, with a threaded hole for the exhaust & a place to mount the carb. Sheet metal is 2 pieces, the top cover & everything else. I have a bunch of spare parts for them, but not sheet metal.

The model AHH was built with a removable cylinder jug also. Used to truck farm with a home made trctor that had one and I kept a spare cylinder, piston and a babbit poured rod for the thing.

Yep, they are almost the same design except the AHH has a bore of 3-5/8" and a stroke of 4".

In all there were:
ADH (2-3/4" bore X 3" Stroke)
AEH (3" X 3-1/4")
AFH (3-1/4" bore X 4" Stroke)
AGH (3-1/2" X 4")
AHH (3-5/8" X 4")

The AGN also had a removable jug but is a different motor completely.
