Hi,
We are looking for information on how the magneto is supposed to work on a Stover 2hp engine Y13990.
Also where we could find parts for it. Thank you,
Deb

hi deb. the maggy works from the exhaust valve push rod, it does not spin but is "tripped" A mechanizm betwwen the rod and maggy pulls down on a centre core to create the spark. It looks like a little box on the side of the hopper. cheers Graeme

Deb Your engine should be a 1928 model. It should have a Wico mag and a spark plug ignition. I would need a bit more information on the trouble you are having to be of much help. Hit and Miss Enterprises has been a good source of parts. I have a manual but it would be a few weeks before I could get it scanned for you.
