I'm looking for information to convert the 115 volt DC power recepticle to 115 AC power. Lincoln has no information. Does anyone know if this can be done and how?

The recepticle is there so you could run UNIVERSAL electric motor equipped tools like electric drills and grinders. DO NOT plug a AC ONLY tool into this receptical as you will butn up the tool and your welder.

Aloha, If you could find a converter to convert the 115v dc to 12v or 24v dc, then you could hook that up to an inverter for ac. The problem here is the 115v dc output of the welder. Is there any way to bring out 12v or 24v dc by rewiring??

The exciter armature is only rated for about 8.5 amps and at 12 volts this would only give 100 watts. Not really enough to do much.

There were many models of SA-200. I believe that all of them were all DC. The main fields were supplied by an exciter on the end of the main shaft. The DC receptacle was also supplied by the output of the exciter. Since there is no AC in the machine it cannot be converted.
