My grandfather is a rare tractor collector.
He purchased a erickson forklift back in the 1940's. The engine was a U 2 International. He is looking for any manuals or information on the engine or on the forklift itself. Please help he insists that I find something.

The U-2 is the little 4 cylinder wet sleeve engine as used on the Farmall A, B etc.

Forgot to mention: if no engine manual available thru this site, binderbooks.com is supposed to have manuals (probably reprints) for anything IH produced. good luck.

Can"t help much..have some notes that there was an Erickson Corp or Corporation, St Paul, Minn, tho some posts say was Minneapolis, Minn, builder of skid steers and forklifts. Check the posts in the archives here for other owners and one man from Minn that knows some history (search Erickson skid steer).
Have a catalog that lists an Erickson (no adds) builder of Kart All, Scissor Lifts, Lift Trks, Platform Trks,Platform Forks and Power Kart, 53 (or earlier) to 73, and probably later, as catalog ends in 73(has model #"s but no engine ID).
Another shows Erickson Loaders (no years)with mix of Ford, Cont, Lister, Onan and Wisc engines. Try posting in Crawlers etc here, and try the archives, and posting, in the constuction equipment forums. Good luck
