Putting new gaskets on an engine that sat awhile and can not figure out how to remove the idler gear between crank gear and oil pump gear. Don't want to force anything and break it, my manual does not seem to be helpful regarding this.
Any help appreciated!

On a vf4 there is a set screw on the outside of the block. There may be 2 , one on top of the other. With the screws out , it should come out.

Ahh, yeap, looking at the manual now, I can see the set screws in the diagram, looks like that will do it.

Thanks very much for the help!
