I am looking for a fuel pump or a rebuild kit for a Wisconsin TFD. It is on a hay baler. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you; Clayton

Stens still lists the pump but not the kit. When you read the note about the warranty void when using ethanol blend fuel that probably explains why ? Now they can gouge everyone for a new pump so why not? Many small engine repair shops are dealers for Stens aftermarket parts, a division of Ariens.

NAPA cross reference no longer recognizes the Wisconsin number for the LQ28 kit but it will come up on Google search at other places. Pump number was LP62AS1 or LP42 series pumps. Don't know if Stens dealers still have them or not but their old number was Stens 530-097.

NAPA auto parts sells a new fuel pump, under part
number M73012, the LaCrosse WI store stocks them.
Blains Farm-Fleet stores can order them under the
same part number, M73012, and it"s a CARTER brand.
The instruction sheet in both box"s say, "Made by
Federal-Mogul. Cost was over $40, but NAPA was
$10 less than Farm-Fleet. Farm Fleet had a catalog
by the alternator/generator, carb/fuel pump dept.
that had listing by engine make, and also crossed
over to equipment brand. I noted that the engine
was used on Owatanna swathers. Blains Farm-Fleet
has stores in Wisconsin, perhaps into Northern
Illinois.
The same Fuel pump was used on some Kohlers, and
they indeed did have a kit, but I can"t find one.
I rebuild Wis. 2 Cyl engines, and have about 10
fuel pumps needing kits. It"s just the 2 poppet
valves, and the diaphram that are needed, but
Federal-Mogul decided that there"s more money in
selling new fuel pumps than repair kits.

Rebuild kit are NO LONGER MADE. You might check a Kohler dealer to see if that have any old stock as Kohler at one time had rebuild kit. I Know as I still have one WHICH IS NOT FOR SALE. The only other option is a new pump. Any small engine dealer who has access to STEN's parts can order you one under P/N 520-566. List price is $107.92 .
