Got carried away at a big auction recently and bought my first hit and miss engine, a Monarch manufactured by the Royal Engine Company, Saginaw, Michigan. It is a Model TA, 1 3/4 HP, S/N 15090, RPM 500. Can anyone help me with date of manufacture, original color, number made, scarcity, etc. Thanks.

I have the same model, serial no 4750, and like you have been trying to get information on it, including colour & decal details. have you had any luck?

It took some fine adjustments to get it starting and running well on the magneto, but its not too bad now.

I have an instruction booklet from King's Books PO Box 56, Radnor Ohio, but it does not exactly cover this model, still useful though.
